Behavioral Intervention (BI), which is grounded in the principles of Evidence-Based Treatment (EBT) and Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), enhances children's adaptive skills and is integral to effective Assessment and Clinical Treatment Plans, while also addressing and discouraging problem behavior. Additionally, it plays a vital role in Crisis Services.

Interdisciplinary training (IDT) enables the Behavior Interventionist to instruct staff involved in providing support services for a child, ensuring consistency across service providers such as occupational therapy, speech therapy, physical therapy, personal care services (PCS), and Counselors. This approach is essential for implementing effective Assessment and Clinical Treatment Plans and enhancing Behavioral Intervention strategies, while also addressing the needs for Crisis Services.

The Assessment and Clinical Treatment Plans (ACTP) are specific, individualized plans that address medical history, current needs, and behavioral needs, serving as a crucial foundational document for initiating intervention services. This process helps identify the client’s needs and family goals, ensuring that the Implementation Plans, which include Specific Goals backed by data, are tailored and individualized. Additionally, these plans support effective Behavioral Intervention and can be essential when accessing Crisis Services.

Crisis Intervention is an emergency back-up and training for an individual experiencing a crisis. This typically involves creating a crisis plan or an Assessment and Clinical Treatment Plan (FBA). These Crisis Services are temporary and cannot be accessed for more than 30 days, and they often include Behavioral Intervention strategies to help individuals manage their situations effectively.
